Update #1

by Carl on April 8, 2010

It’s been almost 1 week since project “One Last Hoorah” started. So far I have purchased a couple of domains, done some demographic research, and started 2 PPC campaigns. I tried to start a 3rd but “Big G” didn’t like it very much and gave me a 1/10 quality score so I deleted it.  I don’t want to risk getting banned.

My goals for the next week are…

  • Create and launch some CPV campaigns for an email submit offer on Ads4Dough
  • Create and launch some banner campaigns for my latest lander project
  • Look into starting up some datafeed sites using Eric Nagel’s case study to get started

There are a lot of directions I could take but as I think about them, Charles Ngo’s advice from Las Vegas Meetup202 event keep ringing in my ear.  He mentioned the importance of simplifying and focusing on something until it’s mastered rather than trying 10 different things.  Great advice, Charles!  Even though I’m going to be trying a couple of different things over the next week, it’s only to see which type of offer and marketing methods I feel best about.  From that point, I’ll be all about that 1 method until I have it mastered.

Next update should include some results from my initial campaigns.

Stay tuned!
